Don Walsh began his career in the railcar segment of the railroad industry in 1997. His career began as a trainee in a railcar maintenance, cleaning, paint and lining facility. He then grew to take on Plant Manager, Director and VP level roles for industry leaders and facilitated the creation of a start-up mobile railcar maintenance and repair company prior to creating The Revolution Rail Group, a railcar consulting and brokering firm in the railroad industry, in 2017. Mr. Walsh has developed a diverse industry background in leadership roles for railcar maintenance providers Rescar, Greenbrier, Transco, Freedom Railcar Solutions, and Fortune 50 railcar owner and lessor GE. He has also nurtured industry relationships with railcar owners, lessors, shippers, brokers, 3PL's, transloaders, railcar and parts manufacturers, facility equipment providers, EHS and HAZMAT organizations, Level III NDT providers, investment groups, IT companies, engineering firms, the AAR, FRA, BOE, DOT, STB, PHMSA, Class 1 and short-line railroads, in the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as local and state economic development boards, members of Congress and Senate. Mr. Walsh's deep and diverse industry experience, along with his far-reaching industry relationships are a unique and valued asset to The Revolution Rail Group's customers and the American Railroading Podcast audience alike.
